A new Mitsubishi hybrid is on its way to New Zealand.
The all-new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Hybrid is expected to arrive in November 2026, bringing smart hybrid efficiency, everyday versatility and confident SUV styling together in one compact package.
As Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand’s first hybrid electric vehicle, the Outlander Sport Hybrid offers the benefits of electrified driving without needing to plug in. Its 1.6-litre MIVEC petrol engine works alongside Mitsubishi’s latest hybrid technology, automatically switching between EV, hybrid and engine drive modes depending on the driving conditions.
Designed with Kiwi lifestyles in mind, the Outlander Sport Hybrid features 212mm of ground clearance and selectable Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud drive modes. Inside, drivers can look forward to a spacious and refined cabin, a 12.3-inch display system, wireless smartphone connectivity and a panoramic glass roof fitted as standard across the range.
A comprehensive suite of safety technology will also come standard, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The Outlander Sport Hybrid will join the Mitsubishi range in XLS and VRX variants, with final New Zealand pricing and full specifications to be confirmed closer to launch.
