The all-new GWM Haval H7 is set to arrive in New Zealand in October 2026, bringing a different kind of presence to the mid-size SUV segment.
With its upright proportions, strong body lines and rugged design cues, the H7 takes a more adventurous approach than many streamlined modern SUVs, while retaining the comfort and practicality expected from a family vehicle.
Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid Power
The H7 range will offer both Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid powertrains, with AWD variants using GWM’s Hi4 intelligent all-wheel-drive technology.
At the top of the range, the H7 PHEV AWD delivers up to 320kW of combined system power and 670Nm of torque, with acceleration from 0–100km/h in just 4.9 seconds. It also offers up to 137km of EV range and 844km combined range under WLTC testing.
The H7 HEV AWD produces 182kW and 670Nm, giving drivers strong hybrid performance without the need to plug in.

Depending on variant, the new H7 introduces features including:
- Rear locking differential
- Eight drive modes
- 360° camera with transparent view
- 15.6-inch multimedia touchscreen
- GWM Coffee OS
- V2L capability and 220V power outlet
- Panoramic sunroof
- Heated and ventilated front seats
- Head-Up Display
- Full-size spare tyre
With five seats, 1,500kg braked towing capacity and 210mm of minimum ground clearance, the H7 is designed to balance everyday comfort with genuine adventure capability.

The New Zealand range is planned to start from $49,990 RRP:
H7 Lux HEV 2WD – $49,990
H7 Vanta HEV AWD – $55,990
H7 Vanta PHEV AWD – $61,990
Further specification details for the H7 HEV 2WD are still to come, with production scheduled to begin from November.
