West City Auto Group is proud to be recognised as a supporter of the new Manaaki Hōhonu Intensive Care Unit at Waitākere Hospital.
Last Friday, 4 September, our Managing Director, John Blewett, attended the unveiling of the permanent supporter recognition wall, where West City Auto Group’s contribution was acknowledged with a dedicated plaque.
Manaaki Hōhonu is a major $96.4 million development featuring West Auckland’s first dedicated Intensive Care Unit, alongside a new 30-bed inpatient ward. The facility will help bring lifesaving critical care closer to home for patients and whānau throughout West Auckland.
Support from local businesses, organisations and donors has helped provide important enhancements beyond the core government-funded development. These include welcoming whānau spaces, specialised paediatric equipment, telehealth capabilities and innovative technology to support clinical teams and patient care.
The unveiling saw the likes of Hon. Simeon Brown, Minister of Health and the Group Director of Operations at Waitakere Hospital, Brad Healey; speak at the occasion.
