The Kia Seltos has entered a new generation, bringing a completely redesigned exterior, a more advanced interior and hybrid power across the entire New Zealand range.
Building on the practicality that has made Seltos such a popular compact SUV, the all-new model introduces a more confident design alongside improved efficiency, enhanced technology and the choice of two-wheel drive or electronically controlled all-wheel drive.
Hybrid Power Across the Range
For the first time in New Zealand, every new Seltos is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Two-wheel-drive models produce 112kW, while the range-topping X-Line eAWD adds an electric motor at the rear for a combined output of 129kW. Fuel consumption is rated as low as 4.5L/100km on selected 2WD models.
It gives Seltos buyers a straightforward step into hybrid motoring without moving away from the versatility and everyday usability of a traditional SUV.
A Completely New Look
The all-new Seltos introduces Kia’s latest design language with a wider, more assertive front end, distinctive Star Map lighting, flush-fitting door handles and a floating roofline.
The body has also grown compared with the previous generation, helping create more space inside while giving the new Seltos a stronger road presence.
More Technology Inside
Step inside and the new-generation cabin takes another significant leap forward.
Available technology includes dual 12.3-inch displays, over-the-air software updates and a steering-column-mounted shift-by-wire gear selector. Rear passengers also benefit from adjustable second-row seatbacks, helping make the Seltos even more flexible for everyday driving, families and longer trips.
The new model has also undergone Kia’s local ride and handling development programme, with suspension and steering tuned specifically for Australian and New Zealand road conditions.
The All-New Kia Seltos Range
The New Zealand range starts with the Seltos HEV Light 2WD from $39,990 + ORC, followed by Earth, Water and X-Line variants, with the X-Line eAWD sitting at the top of the range.
