A new kind of Mitsubishi is coming to New Zealand.
The all-new Outlander Sport HEV combines Mitsubishi’s latest hybrid technology with the practicality and versatility of a compact SUV. Designed for everything from weekday commuting and school runs to weekends away, it offers an easy way to enjoy electrified driving without needing to plug in.
With official combined fuel consumption of just 4.0L/100km, a spacious five-seat cabin and a confident new design, Outlander Sport has been created to fit comfortably into everyday Kiwi life.
Hybrid driving. No plugging in.
Outlander Sport uses Mitsubishi’s Generation 2 HEV system, combining a 1.6-litre MIVEC petrol engine with an 85kW electric motor.
The vehicle automatically selects the most efficient combination of petrol and electric power depending on driving conditions and battery charge, while regenerative braking helps replenish the battery as you drive.
The result is official combined fuel consumption of 4.0L/100km and COâ‚‚ emissions of 95g/km WLTP.
Ready for everyday life
Compact enough to feel at home around the city while offering plenty of room inside, Outlander Sport measures 4,390mm long with a 2,650mm wheelbase.
Inside, you’ll find seating for five, a completely flat rear floor and flexible 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats. The 329-litre luggage area is complemented by an additional 21 litres of underfloor storage, giving you plenty of flexibility for passengers, shopping and weekends away.
A panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade is standard across both XLS and VRX models, helping create an open and spacious cabin.
Technology comes standard
The Outlander Sport XLS is equipped with a 12.3-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio system, an 8-inch digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, Active Yaw Control, reversing camera and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Step up to the VRX and you’ll also gain features including Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio, wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting, Multi Around View Monitor, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a hands-free power tailgate.
Distinctively Mitsubishi
Outlander Sport introduces a fresh interpretation of Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design.
Louvre-style daytime running lights, horizontal T-shaped rear lighting and a strong SUV stance give the Outlander Sport a distinctive presence, while a choice of six exterior colours lets you make it your own. Two-tone colour combinations will also be available on selected VRX models.
