Fair Food is the charity behind the charities rescuing fresh, quality food and getting it into the hands of people who need it. Every day, they supply transitional housing, domestic violence shelters, schools, food banks, and countless other organizations with the resources to support those doing it tough.
In 2024, Fair Food shared over 723,000 kilos of rescued food the equivalent of 1.86 million meals with more than 53,000 people across Auckland. And key to making that happen is a fleet of food rescue trucks, including ones proudly provided by West City Auto Group.
These trucks are more than just vehicles. They’re essential to Fair Food’s mission, collecting surplus food from supermarkets and food producers, and delivering it to community groups across the region. By keeping good food out of landfill, they’re not just feeding people, they’re helping the planet by cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions.
